Kangaree 2010
Greenhill's Joey Scouts make history!
On the 10th and 11th of April 2010,Greenhills Joey Scouts made history as part of the worlds first Kangaree.

All the Joeys in Victoria were invited and over 440 turned up at Gilwell for 2 days of fun and excitement.
Saturdays activities followed a circus theme, after all we were sleeping in monster tents with clowns, magicians, balloons, bubbles, popcorn, stories, gymnasts (the joeys themselves), side show alley, crafts and games.
Saturday night there was a special performance from the Gang Show team, then ready for bed and watching Jungle Book on the big screen.
It was all nice and quite in our tent by 10.30pm except for the gentle snoring of Croc, one of the leaders.
Sunday, we had time for an explore around Gilwell before the Cub Scout Leaders lead us through try Cubbing. Battling on balance beams, crawling through tunnels, bull riding plus heaps of other games and activities that introduced us to the Cub Pack lore.
Lunch then a sleepy bus ride home to Mum and Dad.
The best part for Gecko were all the Joey's smiles.
Planning has already started for the next one, November 2011, it will be just as much fun for the next mob of Joeys.
